What are the benefits of a Finnish Work Safety Card for me?

It helps you get a job in Finland in construction business, industry or transportation. Without a card, it can be difficult to get a job.

Is your course approved by The Centre for Occupational Safety (TTK)? Do employers and clients accept this occupational safety card?

Yes. Our trainers are all trainers approved by The Centre for Occupational Safety (TTK). And the Occupational Safety Card ® is a trademark of The Centre for Occupational Safety. The Centre for Occupational Safety also maintains a registry of individuals who have this card.

I don’t speak English very well. Do I dare to register for an English occupational safety card course?

No worries. Many of our course participants only have a satisfactory or good command of English, and they still manage to pass the course. Participants can also use, for example, Google Translator or other translation programs.

Can someone translate the course for me, as I don’t speak English very well?

Yes. If you have the opportunity to get a competent interpreter who can attend and translate for you simultaneously during the occupational safety course, that would be great.

What language is the occupational safety card test in?

The occupational safety card test can be taken in several different languages. When it is time to take the occupational safety card test, you will be able to choose the language that will appear on your test. The occupational safety test and its quality are managed by the Finnish Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TTK), and the mobile occupational safety card is managed by the Finnish Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TTK).

What is the occupational safety card exam like?

The exam is taken online immediately after the course. The student opens the test link they received in their email, after which they can take the exam. The exam contains 27 sentences that you answer correctly or incorrectly. At least 23 of the 27 sentences must be answered correctly. However, you can take the exam a total of 3 times, and this is enough to pass the exam. You can take a retake exam immediately if you wish. There is no separate charge for taking the retake exam. Each exam takes 50 minutes. Usually, students spend 10-30 minutes taking one exam. After the exam, the course is over.

What technical devices can I use to participate in the occupational safety card training?

For example, a computer, tablet or mobile phone. In addition, you only need a reliable internet connection to participate in the course.

What do I do, because I have lost my plastic occupational safety card?

No problem, it happens! Good news – you no longer need a plastic card! The Occupational Safety and Health Centre stopped automatically sending these to course participants as of January 2025. You only need to use the so-called personal, mobile occupational safety card. You can find the instructions here: (here is the document or condensed instructions). What if I don’t pass the occupational safety card exam?

No problem! It is quite common for some people to fail the exam on the first try. However, you can retake the exam two (2) times and that is enough for the course participants to pass the exam.

Do I have to be present for the entire occupational safety card course?

Yes. However, there are several breaks during the course and a lunch break for relaxation.

I am nervous about taking the course because I have never taken part in such long webinars before.

Don’t worry, it is perfectly natural to be nervous. And you are not alone! However, after the course is over, people are usually positively surprised and satisfied with the course. Our goal is to make people enjoy our courses!

What if I have to postpone my participation in the course even though I have already registered for a certain day?

That’s okay. Just let us know by email if you have any problems, and we will arrange a new course date for you.

How can I activate my mobile occupational safety card?

If you need any help with your occupational safety card, please contact the Occupational Safety and Health Centre’s customer service at XXXXXXXXXXXX. They also provide advice in English.

I have heard that my friend only completed the 4-hour course and the occupational safety card test (0.5 hours). Can I also complete the 4-hour course?

Good question! If you still have a valid occupational safety card (the validity date is shown on the card), then you can complete the shorter 4-hour course. But 1) if you have not previously completed a Finnish occupational safety card course or 2) your occupational safety card has expired, then you will have to complete the 7-hour course + occupational safety card test
